It was an absolute pleasure to spend some time with the scrum half who was capped 54 times for Wales and also made 3 appearances for the British lions.
Robert is an accomplished speaker with an easy presentation style that the audience immediate warms to in this type of function.
He regaled us with various tales from his rugby playing days at schoolboy, club, and international level and the speech was extremely well received by the audience.
The event managed to raise £700 from the raffle which was a superb result for young Welsh atheletes but the stars of the show were the West Wales representatives who donated a cheque for £8000 from their region - on top of the £6500 given so generously at our previous lunch back in October.
I'll be playing in their golf day at Glamorganshire Golf Club in April.
