It was an absolute delight to be invited back to Caerphilly Golf Club to speak with the Probus Club.
I was here earlier in the year and on this occasion the organisation had been let down by another speaker, so they contacted me asking if I could assist and stand in at the last moment.
This dinner was a delight to attend and whenever I am invited back to dinners and organisations I cannot help feeling I am amongst old friends.
It was certainly a warm welcome inside Caerphilly Golf Club but outside was an entirely different matter.
It would be hard to imagine worse weather with howling winds and rain as a storm broke over the clubhouse as the event began.
Nonetheless it was a great turnout with blazers and smart ties on display everywhere.
It was a much more relaxed atmosphere and a good deal more comedy was used in the presentation than previously.
A great group of gentlemen - long may they continue.
