PLEASE LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

My name is Kevan Eveleigh and after dinner speaking is my passion.

I am also quite experienced at compering and hosting charitable, corporate and sporting events.

There is no substitute for the adrenalin rush – or the buzz – one gets when the audience is totally with you, enjoying your anecdotes and stories.

It’s been a long time coming but by popular request I have started my own website with it’s very own magical blog.

I know some of you will be impressed but it’s even more impressive that I built it myself after learning some pretty nifty new software.

Let me know what you think, there may be a web designer in me still!

As well as generating speaking engagements The purpose of this site is to write about after dinner speaking in a refreshing and honest way, freely giving hints and tips to the uninitiated.

Public speaking for most people is possibly their greatest fear. It has often been said that most people would rather chop off their right arm than speak in public in front of a group of people. It doesn’t have to be that way!

With a little guidance and support almost anyone can do it. The big problem is the mental block. The strong belief that we cannot do something prevents most people from trying.

EVERYONE IS LOOKING AT ME

Glossophobia is a fear of public speaking. It is extremely common to suffer from this and affects many people, often preventing them from speaking effectively at family, social or business events.

If you have this fear please be assured that with a little practical help it can be overcome in the vast majority of cases.

You may think that everyone is looking at you but the reality could not be further from the truth. People are far too preoccupied with themselves to give you their undivided attention!

EXPERIENCE MATTERS AND IS THE KEY

I am used to speaking in front of groups of people and audiences in excess of five hundred have not been uncommon.

You get used to it, you thrive on it, all it takes is a little courage and determination.

Even if you never have a requirement for my services but you are interested in learning more abut public speaking, then this blog is for you.

Maybe you need assistance with  speaking at work presentations or in social circumstances such as a wedding or funeral?

Whatever your interest or requirement here will definitely be something here for you.

Please feel free to sign up to the blog and I’ll give you all the hints, tips, after dinner stories and anecdotes you will ever need!
