This is a long established organisation in the very heart of the borough at Caerphilly Golf Club.
It was great to meet some unexpected old friends who I had not seen for some years.
Members are traditionally from professional walks of life and the standard of dress with jackets and ties all around is impressive to say the least.
It was also a testament to the great welcome that I made many new friends and expect to return to continue the association in the not too distant future.
This was a speech about sport insterspersed with some appropriate humour.
Afterwards we enjoyed a fine lunch, some shaggy dog stories from the members and a good time was had by all.
All in all a good day out and I look forward to returning in the not too distant future.
