This is the Musical Version.......check out all three versions below!
Discover how a non-musical Welshman got them singing and dancing at Christmas time all around the world.
Here are three amazing versions of the song followed by the full story of how it came about........................
Welshman Kevan Eveleigh, who cannot read music or play any musical instruments used the power of the internet to create a fabulous Xmas tune that is now played around the world at Xmas time, regularly receiving rave reviews from his listeners across internet radio and beyond.
Approaching a sensitive age Kevan set himself the target of doing something he never dreamed he could do and says “If I can do it anyone can and to quote the Beatles, all you need is love and with a little help from your friends anyone can do it”.
Kevan wrote the music in his head because he says “that was the only instrument I could play!”. He then added and refined the words, and hummed the tune into his Iphone but suddenly he was stuck.
Using the internet he tracked down a guitarist in London who could convert his hummed tune into a real musical track, which matched his own version perfectly.
Next stop was Ireland where he used a full virtual symphony orchestra to create a joyful instrumental and the result is amazing. After that he added professional vocals from a singer in New York. The final mix of the track was made in Melbourne, Australia.
Kevan added “Remarkably I have never spoken to any of the contributors to the track and none of them have any knowledge of each other. It was all done via the web and people seem to love it. In these miserable COVID times I’m glad it brings a smile to people’s faces!”
The instrumental version is called “Let Christmas Begin” and sounds like a classical film score whilst "The Santa Song" is a happy, smiley, fun vocal with an incredibly catchy tune. Kevan says "Everyone starts tapping their feet as soon as they hear it, as the naughty party Santa does his rounds on Xmas Eve!"
Kevan goes on to say “I did it to challenge myself and never dreamed it would be so successful". My own original version is "Xmas Time" which was recorded in one hit and has an Italian pop artist on backing vocals but I learned so much from the professionals along the way.
His ambition is to hear the track played by a live orchestra like that of Andre Rieu in a grand setting which would prove that not only is the COVID crisis over, but that music is truly available to everyone, however limited their ability.
You can listen to all three versions of the Christmas song above.
Below you can find out how it all came about and hear the other outstanding music created in just the same way.

Now you have read about and listened to the three versions of the Christmas song above it's time to understand how it happened. The short answer is a personal challenge Kevan set himself.
On a whim Kevan decided to write a song and literally created the tune in his head and the first draft of the lyrics in less than ten minutes. The final video of the song is sung by an Italian pop artist and true to Kevan's original version. It is a stunning performance and a superb dance melody.
The song is a hypnotic tune with fabulous lyrics and it is called Last Dance. In this case Kevan used musicians from Florida, Alabama, Venezuela, Italy, Australia plus Birmingham and London in England.
Everything was done over the internet and no one has ever spoken to anyone else. Everyone who hears and sees this performance seems to love it but Kevan hasn't released it as a single yet. Several people have suggested it would be a brilliant song for Adele or Taylor Swift to cover so we'll see what the future holds.
This unexpected success spurred Kevan on to give himself a personal challenge to see if he could write songs in alternative genres, for completely different occasions. That is how the Christmas song idea was born that you have read about above.
Having watched some world disasters Kevan felt there were very few songs that were pertinent to memorial occasions and funerals, that were emotionally uplifting.
Therefore he decided to write one for this genre and that is how "Absent Friends" was born, using the same tested method of "Hum, Iphone, Seek Musicians, Record".
The result is a crescendo song that takes the listener from sadness through to the joy of celebrating the life or lives of the departed. The song music has now been professionally separated out into musical scores for a choir to sing -as was originally intended by Kevan when he perceived the idea.
He says "this song needs the full orchestra and the booming voice of a choir to bring out it's true emotion. I cannot wait for a choir to contact me and take this project on!"
Kevan would love to hear this sang in the Albert Hall or maybe at the 911 Memorial in New York as the demo singer himself hails from that great city.
This song works brilliantly as an instrumental and once again could easily be used as a film score, for Kevan has incorporated the full virtual symphony orchestra that he employed in the "Let Christmas Begin" and "The Santa Song" above.
Make sure you have the handkerchief ready for the lyrics and the mood of the music will make you want to cry. As one listener in the USA said...
Listeners often suggest artists to sing Kevan's songs and the name that keeps coming up to own this song is Josh Grogan. Kevan agrees and thinks that the song is made for him.
VOCALS AND ORCHESTRA
INSTRUMENTAL ONLY
The fourth and final song is a real tongue in cheek modernistic EDM effort that Kevan calls "off the wall". It is the favourite of Kevan's mixing studio in Australia and had a huge amount of plays last New Year's Eve all around the world.
There are two versions of this hypnotic anthem - the first is The World Party anthem and the second is New Year's Eve (World Party Anthem) which is the same as the first except for the super countdown at midnight.
The question is does Kevan worry what people think of his music or what the purists might say? "Not really" said Kevan "all music is subjective and evolves so it's a matter of personal choice. All I can say is if it brings joy to just one person then it's a result in a COVID virus ravaged world. To those who might criticise I would simply say if you haven't got anything good to say then please say nothing and the world will be a better place!"
So what's next for Kevan? you may well ask. The short answer is he is going to write a couple of new songs in 2021 and is looking to collaborate with some musicians in real time and real life to see where the music takes him.
Kevan concluded by saying "Hopefully, this article will inspire others who feel musically challenged to write their own music, whatever genre it may be for with the internet anyone can do it and the only limit to your talent is your imagination.
